If there’s one person who accomplished a heck of a lot this summer (August, where did you go?!), it’s Chris of Just Beachy. All summer long she has been working hard building this adorable backyard bunkie. It’s been so fun watching the progress unfold on her blog, and I have to say the end results are even more darling than I imagined! I can’t even handle those floors…they are so stinkin’ perfect. She used cottage pine wood flooring from Home Depot and painted them using high gloss latex floor porch paint in a cheery Jamaican Bay by Behr. And I just adore her hand-painted beach sign made from roof scraps. So cute! You can see more photos and read all about her project right here!

SUCH ingenuity!….smiles
When Chris was debating the floor I sourced your blog post on turquoise floors in the comment section. Your blog leaves lasting impressions! So fresh and beautiful.
Cute bunkie. Are you Canadian? I've only heard theat word on Canadian produced TV.
It's so lovely. This little houses are beautiful. Very nice post.
So pretty! Love the door too. What a fun place to stay!
Love! Do you know where the striped quilt is from???
This is so charming!
I keep wondering if I'll ever get tired of seeing turquoise all over the place. The answer is no–the more I see it, the more I love, love, love it! Thanks for all the great images day after day!
Wow I love that floor. I wonder if the latex paint can be used to paint concrete?
I love blue.
Ooohh if I had a beach house or cottage, I would TOTALLY paint the floor turquoise!
Now that's a fabulous idea: to paint the floor! And that color is fabulous…well of course…it's on this blog!

I love the floors..
This is right up my alley! I love everything about it! Yesterday, while at the state fair, I said to San, "I want one of those little cottages painted aqua blue," when we saw an exhibit with a bunch of little cottages.
So cute and relaxing!
I have reading this post and very interesting.
