Centsational Girl

April 9, 2010

I am completely and madly in love with this bedroom designed by reader and fellow blogger Kate of Centsational Girl. Together with her 17 year-old stepdaughter, they completely transformed the space from a funky teen room into this sophisticated and serene “grown up girl’s room”. I think it’s absolute perfection, definitely one of my all-time favorite bedrooms! Don’t you just LOVE the Graham and Brown “Midsummer” wallpaper and the Sea Flower duvet?? They look amazing next to those beautiful walls! (‘Blue Green Jem’ by Kelly Moore #KM3226-1) Kate was so thoughtful to share with me the info on pretty much everything you see, so if want to know any source info, just ask away! And don’t forget to check out her website for great DIY inspiration! Have a fantastic spring weekend everyone! 🙂

Oh my, I love this. In fact, I think I may try and copy it! I'm doing little beachy hints of aqua in my living room this summer. I love the sand with the one sea shell on top. So pretty.

Oh, I love this room. I'm wanting to paint my bedroom this color. Very very pretty room. I do have that same little ruffle pillow. Guess that could be my start to having a room as lovely as this.

This is one small bedroom that I would never want to leave! So restful and relaxing and so sophisticated for a 17 year old girl. I'm redesigning my 18 year old girl's room right now and I wish I could get her to go for something like this. Thanks for sharing this fantastic room. I love your blog! It's so inspirational!

    Yummy! Great blog.

We are moving to a new house and its existing dark aqua carpet in the bedrooms has sent me down a color path i'd never taken before… turquoise! (I've always been a cream/green/yellow kinda girl…)

I've painted the bedroom walls a grayish taupe and am going to have a lot of white and silver in there… and turquoise now keeps popping up in other parts of the house…

have you done any posts on powder rooms? I have a tiny one off the kitchen area that needs some inspiration!

    Cheers!

    Anne

Anon- Yes, she did recover the chair seat and was kind enough to go back to the store to get the info! The fabric is by Home Essentials and is called Bircham in 'Patina'. She got it at Joanns Fabrics.

I've just renovated a house and now it's time to think about finishing touches. I have 3 bedrooms to do and this is lovely. I adore the mirror. Do you have any info on where to purchase it? Thanks for sharing.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
