One of my most favorite vacations ever was visiting the South Carolina Lowcountry. In person or just online, I can't get enough of the houses there! (See this post, I think you'll agree!) The coastal home above from Structures Building Company is located in Mount Pleasant, just outside Charleston...talk about the perfect location! The crisp white, pops of beachy color, and natural textures give it that comfortable, coastal feel that I'm continually drawn to. You definitely don't want to miss out ... View Post
Katie Rosenfeld Design
One of my favorite designers to follow is Katie Rosenfeld, the Boston-based interior designer who seems to love color and pattern as much as I do! I'm feeling particular obsessed with this project she designed, photographed by Michael J Lee. The Boston family moved from a coastal environment to Boston and wanted a palette that reminded them of the ocean. What I love most is that it's actually a historical home. What a surprise to walk into such a fun space! The kitchen is my absolute ... View Post
Villa Pima in Turks and Caicos
I can't think of a place I'd rather visit than Turks & Caicos! Pretty sure Villa Pima would be the perfect place to take in all of the breathtaking turquoise water! My days would undoubtedly be spent by the pool (staring at the ocean, of course!), but evenings on the porch or curled up on the cute sofa would be total heaven! Oh, and there's a private swimming pad down on the water too...you couldn't tear me away from that! See that and lots more (including rental info–we could all chip in!), ... View Post
Fisher Hart Photography
A home filled with fresh, pretty color gets me every time! Susan Fisher Plotner of Fisher Hart Architectural & Interiors Photography beautifully captured this home designed by Carol Flanagan Interior Design out of Greenwich, Connecticut. The harmonious balance of texture, color and pattern, paired with a comfortable, inviting vibe makes me want to move right in! I'm especially loving the kitchen....yet another turquoise island (painted Benjamin Moore's "Woodlawn Blue") leaves me drooling! ... View Post
Village Architects
If you love a blue and white color palette as much as I do, you're loving this beach house designed by Village Architects out of Tequesta, Florida! The layers of beachy blues and weathered driftwood grays (with a hint of aqua too!) are perfect for the waterfront location. I'm absolutely loving the open kitchen with its fab turquoise island, all the comfy furniture, and the impressive architectural details throughout! See more of this home, as well as other beautiful homes designed by Village ... View Post
Phoebe Howard
I was super excited to see this John's Island, Florida vacation home gracing the pages of Coastal Living! It just happens to be one of my all-time favorite projects by Phoebe Howard, photographed here by Erica George Dines. The green and blue color palette combined with the perfect amount of neutrals keeps things bright and breezy, not to mention comfortable and inviting. Speaking of comfortable...I'm drooling over that fabulous turquoise sectional from Hickory Chair! Read the story all about ... View Post
Emily Weis Photography
The sentiment behind this pretty little soiree captured beautifully by Indiana photographer Emily Weis is what touched me most! Vanessa Grider threw her friends a surprise thank-you luncheon to show her gratitude after going through a particularly rough year. I am in love with every single detail! Turquoise and pink were our wedding colors–and pink peonies our flower of choice, so of course I am particularity partial! The painted chairs are lovely, what great way to revamp mismatched chairs! And ... View Post
Our Prairie Home
When Laura of Our Prairie Home decided it was time to redecorate her daughter's room in their 1905 Victorian home in Iowa, she had a goal of not spending more than $50. Get this...she only spent $40! (Turns out she had a lot of extra stuff in her attic and craft cupboard..I love it!) The results are delightful! The wall color is perfect (she added a lot of white paint to Crayola's Talkative Turquoise), the shabby chic furniture and accessories are beautiful, and her original wall art is ... View Post
