Turquoise and pink never fails to make my heart skip a beat! This beautiful Madrid, Spain apartment by Sonia Reixach Interior Design is filled with a slew of happy hues that reflect its owner’s joy for life. The natural light and high ceilings are fabulous on their own, but the white background dotted with vivid, feminine colors really bring it to life! The cushy floor pillows piled up for a sofa look so comfy and colorful! (Though maybe not so practical for someone eight months pregnant like me!) Loving that tiled backsplash in the kitchen, the floral drapes in the bedroom and that fun peacock chair too! There’s still more to see of the home…visit Mi Casa to finish your tour!

Those of us on a budget can get this look from Ikea. Their grommet-topped light turquoise cotton velvet SANELA curtains are sold in pairs for $49.99, and the 98-inch length will puddle generously at the floor. They also come in a 118-inch length. Those who can sew can hem them and use the extra yardage for room accent projects.

Fantastic idea! I didn’t know Ikea sold turquoise curtains…I looked them up and they are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been reading your blog for years. Pink and turquoise are my favorite too. Your blog has gotten popular, I’d like you to consider your advertising placement. I don’t think you need ads between photos of your post. In fact, these ads take away from your content. You are already advertising at the end of your posts. This blog post had 7 ads! Really a disservice to your hard work and to your readers. I’m considering not following your blog anymore.

Peggy, Thank you so much for your feedback. I recently joined an ad management service who is placing ads for me and we are still figuring out the best optimization for the site, so your feedback is helpful! Something you could consider is to sign up for the daily email…unlike a lot of bloggers, I send the entire post to you each day, not just a preview, and there are no ads on there at all. Thanks again for taking the time to let me know your thoughts!

Erin, I agree with Peggy’s comment about your new lay out for ads.
I have followed your posts for several years and I feel compelled to leave my first comment. The multiple ads and pop ups are very distracting and a nuisance to constantly close the ads. Please rethink the placement of your ads. I too have recently thought I might not follow your posts anymore. the ads are that annoying!
