HGTV Smart Home 2016 Guest Bedroom

April 4, 2016

My day was made when I noticed the photos for the HGTV Smart Home 2016 were up on their site! Interior designer Tiffany Brooks did a fantastic job on the entire Raleigh, NC home, but one of my favorite spaces was this vibrant guest bedroom with tons of personality…and turquoise! It was love at first sight if only for the wallpaper, an eye-catching pattern from Eijffinger’s Belle de Jour collection. The little nook in the corner is cute too…love how she used the curtains to define the space and make it a cozy room-within-a-room. See more photos by Robert Peterson of Rustic White Photography, take a video tour, and read all about the bedroom here!

Wow this wallpaper is a serious designer don't in my opinion. I am shocked someone would pick it or design it.

I love this! The white ceiling, molding, accents and floor balance the intensity of the wallpaper. My favorite spot is the nook!

I love that wallpaper! It's fantastic! I don't know that I would want a whole room with walls like that, but it would be perfect for an accent wall!

FYI- I think the wallpaper is discontinued. I don't see it on Eijffinger's site or on Brewster's site (USA distributor.

I think the wallpaper is a very interesting, dynamic design, but would drive me crazy to have it cover my walls. Maybe a coverlet (not a whole bedspread) or a chair or some throw pillows in a fabric of the same design would suit me, but not the walls.

I don't mind the wallpaper but not on all walls – maybe just a feature behind the bedhead – it started to make my eyes go funny 🙂 Furnishings are gorgeous tho'.

I LOVE turquoise too! Do you know where the bedding came from? I love the zig zag aqua blanket and the gold embroidered white comforter!!

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
