Artistic Designs for Living

January 23, 2015

No doubt this is a space for an artist! The colorful bedroom was designed by Tineke Triggs, principal of the San Francisco-based firm Artistic Designs for Living and was part of the 2014 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. “Lily’s Pad” (photographed here by Eric Rorer) is all about no boundaries…a space for a teen artist/dancer to be creative and freely express herself. The inspiration began with the blue and green rug that simulates dripping paint, a common theme found throughout the space. I love all of the gorgeous custom furnishings, artwork and lighting…and the fabulous bathroom! The custom lacquered vanity is fantastic, especially next to the tiles! How often do you see bold, brave and expressive decor which feels comforting because of the cohesiveness of colors and design?…not often. Wow! Love!

Oh my goodness, I am obsessed with this room. I already love dual twins, but those headboards really set off the room. Hope you are doing well, Erin!

[…] Happy New Year! I’m kicking off 2017 with this beautiful San Francisco home designed by Tineke Triggs of Artistic Designs for Living! Captured by photographer Drew Kelly, the Victorian remodel perfectly blends daring design with traditional elements for a bold yet classic look. I’m positively in love with the kitchen here…the dramatic pendants and custom bistro table are fab, but you know I’m all about the gorgeous tile backsplashes! I love how they pop against the white cabinetry! The family room is another favorite space. The built-in shelves are great, especially with the painted backs! There’s still a lot more to see of the home…go here to finish your tour! And for another fun space I’ve featured by Tineke Triggs, go here! […]
