I’m so inspired by this San Carlos, California kitchen designed by Sabrina Alfin Interiors, photographed here by Dean J. Birinyi! With two teenage sons soon going off to college, the clients didn’t want to spend a ton on a full renovation fixing up their dated and gloomy kitchen. Instead they focused on functionality, adding the sliding glass window that faces the backyard to pass food and drinks to the outdoor entertaining area…and a handy countertop bar right outside the window! They also refaced the cabinets and painted them with a two-tone look, switched out a dark granite backsplash with a refreshing white one, added recessed lighting, gorgeous new vintage-style glass pendants, and a fun new custom-upholstered bench cushion! A brand new open and airy kitchen at probably a third of what a totally remodeled kitchen would cost–love it! For another inspiring turquoise-filled project by Sabrina Alfin, go here!

I am using this kitchen as inspiration! But I’m not having luck with the glass tile. Please share any information you have on the tile choices. Color and brand if possible! I love this kitchen!
