Chris Barrett Design

October 4, 2011

It’s Mad Men…with a twist! I love how designer Chris Barrett used the same vibrant complementary colors throughout this entire Manhattan Beach home for a cohesive look that’s fun and inviting. So much great retro furniture here…those turquoise lounge chairs are so cool! I’m really loving the artwork, especially the poolside photograph by Slim Aarons in the dining room. Oh, the dining room. That’s my favorite…the juicy colors, awesome chairs, fab chandelier! See more of this home photographed by Karyn Millet right over here!

These rooms are oozing with delicious color and richness! Thanks for the treat 🙂 I just completed a nursery for my new baby boy (due next week!) in aqua and orange, and I love the combination. The photos you posted have some wonderful hits of that color combo–great inspiration!

I noticed the artwork straight up. The whole feel is very sculptural and architectural isn't it? Very groovy and interesting. Quite a standout actually!
