Room For Color

October 16, 2009

One of my favorite things about the fall is Apartment Therapy’s annual Room For Color contest. I was so excited when I heard the lovely Kelly of Color Sizzle and Porter House Designs had her home office selected to be in the contest. Don’t you all love the lilac, aqua and brown color scheme she uses?? I never think of the ceiling as a blank canvas, but I absolutely adore the look of it painted aqua here. Head over to AT to learn all about this room, and to vote for Kelly (it’s quick and easy!)….have to hurry though because voting ends at approximately 3:00 pm EST on Saturday, October 17! Have a color-filled fall weekend everyone!

Such a creative space is sure to inspire some serious creativity don't you think?? Makes my predominately white office look very, ahem, pale. I love it!

This is so chic and fun! I love the color scheme even though I would be so scared to add that much color. She did it very well. I've been really getting obsessed with painted ceilings lately!

Now this is a room that my husband and I could agree on. Purple with orange in the room as well. He would switch the lavender for orange. I like the lavender with the pops of orange and the other colors. Lavender is mine Orange is his. It shows that it can work. Thank you.
Great job. Keep up the good work.

Omigosh, what a stunning room! I'm getting ideas for my own office. This took some real talent to pull off; just the right color hues, just the right balance of sparkle, the white helping it all together to play together soooo nicely. LOVE IT!

Lovely creative office. The colors are gorgeous! My two favs plus chocolate! I tried the link to Kelly's site, but it's been hacked. Does she have another site? Thanks. 🙂
