Dreamy Country Home in Formentera, Spain

January 22, 2018

My Monday is a whole lot dreamier thanks to Micasa and this incredible country home located on Spanish island of Formentera. Less than a mile to the beach and the turquoise water of the Mediterranean, the idyllic getaway is surrounded by some of the most beautiful outdoor areas I’ve ever seen. Can you even imagine an afternoon spent relaxing in the area above? Or a leisurely meal under the porch below?! Absolutely magical! The breezy interior is just as beautiful with its soft color palette, simple furnishings and abundance of windows and doors. Truly indoor-outdoor living at its finest!

Its U-shape gives the home plenty of private places to lounge outdoors.

The living room is filled with white, wood, and plenty of natural light. Loving the pastel pillows!

Plenty of room for everyone at this table. Great pop of color from the pendant!

I’ve never seen a bathroom like this! How cool is the round shower with skylight?!

Or just enjoy a shower outdoors!

I’m ready for a nap!! For even more photos of this peaceful retreat, head over at Mi Casa!

What’s beautiful is there’s not a lot that’s exotic, precious, or fancy about this. It’s just neat and fairly minimal. I like seeing looks that are actually attainable. And there’s a lot of restraint here. If this home were in the U.S., someone would probably have “cottage-ized” it with slipcovered sofas and the like.

I agree with you totally.. I am in Malta and we have a number of these places that have been ruined by not have enough restraint.

The colours are beautiful! Giving me ideas and saved as a book mark.

      Thanks so much for this.

this is a gorgeous ‘home’ – I get a very ‘lived-in’ vibe from it, even with the staging, etc. The bathroom is amazing, though a bit scary (my back is out right now so anything that isn’t level or doesn’t have a grab-bar terrifies me! lol!) xoxo

With you on that about the bath.. understand completely!! only advance is that you can sit on the edge and run the shower. Issue will be trying to get up on 2 feet.

Question: – What material is the bath made from? Looking for someone who makes it.

      Thanks!
