Hello House of Turquoise team. I’m sure that you did’t intend any disrespect, but Memorial Day is a solemn day.

It’s not a “Happy Hallmark Holiday”. Since the Civil War one day of the year has been set aside to remember those fallen soldiers who have there all for our freedom and safety.

I have many family members, including my father, who served our country. I am blessed that they have all returned home. But they have lost “buddies”, and are remembering the good and bad of their time in the armed services this weekend.

Flags are flown at half staff in mourning, prayers are said, and tears are shed. Spouses, mother’s, fathers, siblings are longing are longing to see and hold their loved one just one more time.

I feel that your creative team could have come up with a more appropriate greeting.

    “Lest we forget.”

I am in love with this door! The white trim around the door frames it so well!
