If there’s one thing I love about this historic Chicago home, it’s the way Mill Valley, California-based interior designer Caitlin Moran honored the design of renowned architect David Adler. And with four young children to keep in mind, I’m inspired with how she balanced the couple’s sophisticated tastes with a livable lifestyle! The daughter’s room (painted Benjamin Moore’s Emerald Vapor) couldn’t be prettier with its pink and blue scheme and mix of patterns. Loving the embroidered drapes and adorable bedding by D. Porthault Paris! And how gorgeous is the bathroom with the Lyford Trellis wallpaper by China Seas from Quadrille?! The kitchen is altogether breathtaking too…SO many stunning details! Last but certainly not least….the library. The millwork is gorgeous!! You can read all about the home and see more photos by Werner Straube over at Architectural Digest or the designer’s portfolio here!
Be sure to check out Caitlin Moran’s beautiful California home too–go here!

I adore the ventilation in the kitchen, it hides the lighting, which makes it so you can have better kitchen lighting and it makes a great home decor statement!
