I love the light, airy feel to this New York City studio apartment belonging to interior designer Jana Bek, photographed here by by Erik Melvin and Nathan Kostegian. Jana skillfully incorporated her love of color and pattern into the limited space, not to mention an awesome mix of high/low and DIY! I love the turquoise headboard and how it mirrors the throw on the other side of the room. Those lamps are super fun too! Jana actually painted them herself–and now sells them! She also specializes in e-design…so no matter where you live, if you’re looking for (affordable!) design help check that out! And definitely check out the rest of her portfolio too, there’s lots more I know you’ll love!

I love how she combined so many colors along with the turquoise, and it all looked so "together". Gorgeous!

I ADORE the lamps and love the montage of DIY artwork. I recently did something similar in my guest bath. Stuck with dated pink patterned tile for now, I decided to embrace it. Couldn't find decent artwork so made collages out of some decorative paper. They look like I spent a couple hundred bucks.

Do you have a source on the sofa? I love the size and scale of it.
