I landed upon one of the prettiest corners of the internet when I stumbled upon the blog Aiken House & Gardens! Carolyn calls Prince Edward Island home, and from her photos, it’s everything I’ve dreamed it to be! I am so in love with these two spaces she shared: her delightful summer boathouse and vintage style guest bath. Both so romantic and dreamy! They recently finished painting the bathroom Behr “Marina Isle” and I think it’s perfection…especially with that beautiful aqua tub! And wouldn’t that cozy boathouse be the ideal place to spend an afternoon?? Not only there is there so much more pretty to see at Aiken House & Gardens, Carolyn also recently released her very own magazine filled with her stunning photography and spaces…check that out here!
Oh and I had to share these two images of hers too…I love lilacs so much, it’s especially hard to resist them when paired with turquoise! (See more here!)

Cute bathroom but someone needs a lesson on how to edge the paint… the mess above the wainscotting and at the ceiling line is like nothing I've ever seen in a publication!!! Yikes!

Hi–I've recently found your blog and checked out this post you have on Carolyn Aiken. I tried to click on the links you provided to check out her blog but access to her blog have been denied. It seems I have to be an invited reader to her blog. Do you know of a way I may contact her to be able to request an invitation? Thanks for your help!

I can't believe how petty some people are… stop being so picky and just enjoy the beauty of the cottage… who cares if the painting isn't perfect, or lingerie is used as a decoration…. really – grow up!

Beautiful home with lots to look at. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. I couldn't care less about the imperfect paint or the lingerie – all part and parcel – some people!
