J Banks Design

January 25, 2013

Now I can’t say for sure, but I’m thinking there is either a swimming pool or beach right outside the door here! The whimsical space was designed by J.Banks Design Group, an interior design firm out of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The laundry room/mudroom/shower is entirely genius. Such a functional and smart design, but the colors are so fun! I LOVE those pink swinging doors! The playroom/family room is super fun too. Wish I knew the fabric on the windows…it’s darling! You can finish your tour of the colorful home right over here!

If you are looking for a little Valentine’s Day gift inspiration, you definitely need to check out the new to & from magazine! I’m super excited to be a part of this issue, sharing my favorites in the “gifts for gals” section!

Have a great weekend!!

This is so lovely! I loved the artworks on the wall most of all. The floor looks adorable. This kind of flooring is so common here in Pakistan but people usually cover it with carpets or rugs, because they think it doesn't look good, but it looks perfect. Thanks for sharing, Erin.

I love how they switched the wall/ceiling colors between the bathroom and "living" area. And I too wish I knew the fabric.

What a fun, happy home! The palette reminds me of Lilly Pulitzer.

Is the floor terrazzo? It's wonderful!

The washer and dry are cool looking, too.

Love it, not sure if I could live in it but it would be great for a holiday space. But I love the laundry bathroom combo. That would be fabulous even without a beach outside. It would be even better if you could just hose it out each night.

Erin, it is like a giant doll house for girls! I love the pink swinging door too and I adore the sand pail cut in half for 3-D Artwork. So sweet!
