Sag Harbor Express

December 8, 2010

I love it when I’m walking down the street and run into something like this. The Sag Harbor Express has an adorable building on Main Street in Sag Harbor, New York with the cutest turquoise door and shutters. But right next door is the Kramoris Gallery with the juiciest lime green door. I wonder if they planned that because my oh my it looked gooood!

I am just amazed that you can walk the streets and find your color….. it must just pop out to you. Then you say I've got to take a picture of that.

Those neighbors must be friends to have used complementary colors. Probably a fun neighborhood.

We love feature door colours in the UK. Its something I've been trying the convince Australians here to do. So simple an idea, such a dramatic effect. Just love the turquoise one.

I'll be featuring more aqua beauties like these on my blog wwww.oceaniaislandliving.blogspot.com

These colors look amazing together and is one of my favorite combinations! The turquoise blue doors and shutters also serve to keep spirits out of your house (at least according to legend) – not sure what purpose the lime green would serve other than to be playful.

    Great photos, Erin!

Where do you live? In the Hamptons area or NY? Sag Harbor is one of my favorite places!

Oh my gosh I'm swooning! Lime green is my absolute favorite color (my bedroom at home has a lime green wall and I love it!) and the door looks so good next to the turquoise one!

Gorgeous. I never thought about being obsessed by a particular color before but I confess, I have bought the same paint color a couple of times without realizing it. My husband calls it my undersea world (all blues, greens, and aquas).

Sag Harbor is near my parents' place, but I've never been in that road before. Good photos! The neighbors must like fun colors in their door for the visitors to brighten up their mood.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
