Lee Ann Thornton

October 11, 2010

Usually when I sift through portfolios of designers, I’m lucky to find one or two rooms with a little blue in them. This was not the case with Lee Ann Thornton of Thornton Designs out of Greenwich, Connecticut. We’re talking page after page of the prettiest rooms filled with shades of my favorite color. I think what I’m enjoying most is her genius medley of beautiful fabrics and wallcoverings. The furniture and lighting selections are utterly fabulous too! Lee Ann also has a blog (don’t you love it when designers blog?)…check out It’s Everything I Love…!

So what I was wondering was, do you have a lot of aqua in your house?

What a nice subtle use of turquoise (aqua?), mixed with neutrals. I love the round footstools in the living room. Did you receive my photos of my turquoise powder room?

I've published the recipe for my favorite autumn confection — chocolate covered tarantulas. They are easy and frighteningly delicious! Come by for a visit.

The round ottomans on legs in pic 4, the greek key drapery trim in pic 5 (and the lamp!) and the aqua velvet settee in pic 8 (offset by that gorgeous apple green velvet chair!) are particularly drool-worthy pieces! Love her use of fabric and wall coverings as well. Her rooms are gorgeous. — Kimberly

This is one of my favorite group of design photos I have ever seen! She is so incredibly talented! Thank you so much for always finding such wonderful inspiration for us!

I recognize those gold poofs at the end of the bed! They are Nate Berkus! He put two of them in our master bedroom makeover back in May! I'm sure you can buy them on HSN if anyone is interested!

Hey! Pinned the bedroom in the first photo a little while back, and have found it inspirational! Today I wrote a whole post about an idea for a guestroom I've got inspired by the aqua and gold theme. I made sure to link back here. 🙂 I hope you'll stop by and check it out!
