Brooke Steuart

April 28, 2010

When I spotted this vacation home belonging to designer Brooke Steuart on the blog Low Tide High Style, it was the turquoise island that immediately caught my attention. After that initial shock passed, I noticed so many other details that make this a true dream kitchen. Love the bursts of orange and turquoise accessories, the glass tile on the backsplash and stairs, the collection of shells displayed in the island…not to mention the Viking appliances! Isn’t it all so pretty lit up at night too?! To see even more of this beach home, head over here!

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the use of color on the kitchen island. I want to change the color of my kitchen cabinets and island but I'm scared that it won't turn out well… They are stained and I want them to be an antiqued ivory color. Argh!

Your site is fantastic, Erin. Thanks for your daily inspiration!!

    xoxo

The copper island top is to die for. I love the patina that develops on the top…very cool…and the dining room table…I'm in deep love…that handpainted finish is just beautiful and so original. Thanks for sharing these pics. I'm sending a couple to a client to give her an idea of the direction I"m going in her house.

Funny– I knew Brooke as a teenager. So surprising to see her name pop up in my blog roll!

Iโ€™m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
