I just have to wonder with some homes how in the heck the owners ever mange to leave! This one designed by Jeanette Van Wicklen of JVW Home is one of them. The interior designer out of Austin, Texas knows a thing or two about our favorite colors…oh my gosh, they’re everywhere! There are so many gorgeous rooms in this home, photographed so beautifully by Paul Finkel of Piston Design and Katie Clementson, that I just can’t fit them all in one day. Today we’re starting off in the family areas of the home. Can you believe the home was built in the 1800’s?? It’s actually an old farmhouse in the west hills of Austin that Jeannette and her husband lovingly renovated. There are so many great details, I feel like every time I look at the photos I see something new that I love! Yup, pretty sure I’d never leave!
Make sure to come back tomorrow to finish the tour and see the gorgeous bedrooms and possibly one of my favorite bathrooms of all time!
Paint Info:
-Living Room (with rock fireplace & brown sectional) & Dining Room – Restoration Hardware’s Silver Sage
-Family Room (the one with the white sectional) – Benjamin Moore “Prescott Green” HC-140

This home is so calming. I love the pale aqua, it creates such a tranquil atmosphere. Thank you for sharing. Connie
Is that a Pier 1 chair?? The use of aqua is perfect! franki
Man, Erin, some of these homes you feature are just 'to die for.' I subscribe to you via email, so I don't always come to leave a message, but I wanted to say for this house, that the porch is just so great. I just love how they have the matching-color wicker chair and the rug with the aqua hues. Just gorgeous! I also love that they have that religious statue featured!! (I'm Catholic! LOL!)
Best,
Gloria
P.S. Hope you and your hubby have been well. xxoo
Love the wall color, would love to know what it is?!
That home! That pool! ooohh my! aMAYzing!
Wow… what a beautiful home! Just gorgeous!
The porches are beautiful, I could see them spending hours there. The house is another favorite of mine, my style. Love the turquoise touches, the ceilings, the lighted cabinetry in the tv room, the china cabinet.
this house is too much for me to handle, I mean in a good way! That statue is DIVINE!
I absolutely LOVE the tin ceiling! Obsessed.
Wow its so beautiful home. I liek this all pix of your home. I pool pix so much. Its give me cool and relax feelings.
What color did you use on the exterior of the house?
Can you tell me where I might find a chandelier like the one in this pretty little Austin house? (over the rustic dining table with bench…) Thanks, Nancy Hutchins
This house is amazing! The colors are just so fresh and inviting!
What an absolute stunning home! Every room is fantastically decorated. The use of turquoise tones, silver and gold blend so well together and stand out without overwhelming the overall scheme. The brown leather sofa, although of generous proportions, doesn’t overpower the room. I especially love the corner cupboard with its simple and practical display of antique silver jugs and flatware, along with the porcelain. If I ever had the chance to visit this Van Wicklen gem, the first thing I would do is jump into that beautiful pool!
