Sweet Stephanie of the blog Royal T Designs (and Dockside Dogs, the cutest little dog boutique ever) was just up in Maine visiting the most adorable cottage I’ve ever laid eyes on. The little lake home belongs to her aunt and uncle who completely renovated the space themselves. She said before they got their hands on it it was a total mess of a shack. They tore it down to just the beams, then collected all the awesome original 50’s appliances, dishes, flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc. They also kept all of the original furniture and reupholstered it…turquoise! A huge thank you to Stephanie for taking all these fab photos and sharing them with us!

SWOON. This is everything I love–turquoise, retro, somehow cheery but soothing all at once. I love it!

My mom had that table and chairs when I was a little girl. IF ONLY I could have seen into the future, I would have insisted on hanging onto it!

Aaaaaawww… Vintage goodness!!!
OMW!! I am in love! When can I move in? I saw an old turquoise Chevy today during my lunch break but he made a turn before I could get a picture of the truck. My parents have several friends with cottages on lakes in Maine that have been handed down through the generations and are just so full of charm.

Never thought I'd be swooning over an old Chevy truck, but that thing is a beaut! Love the detail in the kitchen countertops and all the retro details. I could SO easily live there. *Sigh!* — Kimberly in So. Cal.
I am going to Maine in October and staying in a friend's cottage on Peak's Island. I hope it looks like this one.
Is it just me or is anyone else just dying to dial that phone?
Every picture is more incredible than the last. This place is vintage perfection!

I wish I knew where they sourced the flooring. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I love humble retro kitchens!
