You guys, I am so excited about this home!! It belongs to one of my readers up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Renee, her husband Kent and their three cute kiddos moved into their new home last year after a four-month renovation (and she was 8 months pregnant…I can’t imagine!) It was an unbelievable transformation and I could have sworn we had a designer working here. Nope, she’s a finance professor, he’s an engineer! (Although multi-talented, as he did a lot of the reno work himself!) I was delighted to learn Renee got a lot of inspiration from my blog, in addition to Pinterest and Houzz when it came to designing. They just went with what they liked, she said–if they loved it, they figured it’d all come together in the end! And boy did it…I LOVE it all!! *Especially that tile!

I have been dreaming of a kitchen with turquoise subway tile!! This one fits the bill and then some. It's absolutely gorgeous. Every detail. And the rest of the living area is so cozy and friendly and warm. I adore this renovation. I did a lot of pinning of this home too!
LOVE the desk!
Also, I wonder what the hearth and mantle paint color is???
I love it! Where did they get the acrylic chair (the one at the desk)..and that beautiful bubble light fixture above their dining table….love love love, what a beautifully decorated home! And it gave me hope seeing their little guy with his toys on the floor…so maybe I CAN have a beautifully decorated home with my crazy kids:). Thanks for sharing!
My hat's off to the home owners, they did an amazing amazing job!! Everything flows together so well!
Source for light fixture over the dining table in kitchen? Love it!!!!
Thank you for sharing this home, I love it! Could you tell me the source for the wallpaper in the bathroom? It's great!
Love the back splash, pendants & bar stools in kitchen! Hell, I love it all!
I love this home- Great and playful use of color! I really appreciate at the way the color theme is carried through out without it becoming overwhelming and/or detracting from the great feature tile wall in the kitchen. Perfect balance. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Loved everything, especially the arts on the wall. Congrats!
Beautiful! Could you tell me the green/yellow paint color is in the kitchen (last picture)?
Thanks!
I read your blog often, but rarely comment. This house is great- especially the kitchen. I think my favorite thing about it is that it doesn't look like "manufactured decorating". The owners chose what they liked and now have an environment exactly suited to them. Even though my style is more traditional and less colorful, I would love to see more homes like this in both magazines and blogs; homes that are suited to the individuals that live in them and not predictable designer or catalog advertisements. Love it.
I love everything about this house! the tiles in the kitchen, the furniture and the office! is so cute! thanks for the images 😉
My absolute favorite color! SO beautifully done! Enjoy your gorgeous , comfy space!
I really like the island countertop. It's both rustic and modern, it really grounds the space. Is that concrete? WOW!!
I love it! And it's in my city (Edmonton). Soo glad to see a colourful house, I think most people here decorate in beiges, browns and blacks. Nothing wrong with that, but with the loong winters we have, it's so nice to see such beautiful happy colours.
Love, love, love this house! Well done. Especially love the concrete countertop, the open floor plan and the effective use of colour.
