Paternoster Beach Cottage

March 1, 2013

Never thought I’d have a pic of a man showering on my blog…Happy Friday, ladies! This incredible stone cottage located on a private nature reserve overlooking an undisturbed beach on the West Coast of South Africa immediately stole my heart! Captured by Cape Town photographer Micky Hoyle, the home was built entirely from local stone and was designed to blend into the surrounding countryside. Love how those aqua shutters and gates pop right out at you though, especially with the sea in the background–it’s breathtaking! See more of the home and read the article all about it over at House and Leisure!

Love! Thought it might be in Ireland or somewhere else in the UK, obviously not in the US, more's the pity. Surprise that it's in South Africa. Have to say that the guy in the shower is not a bad touch.

This beach house is so comfortable. It is truly a casual living space, so un-made up.
I like the striped tufted day bed – so inviting.

I love how stylish and effortless this rustic decor looks. All the textures, color accents, natural stone, wood, shells – just gorgeous. My favotire – that ticking daybed in the 1st photo. I haven't put a bed in my office/guest room because I've been looking for something like that. It's perfect!
