Glynis Wood Interiors

February 28, 2013

Doesn’t get much better than this! Located in the hills of Northwest Austin, this breathtaking home designed by Glynis Wood Interiors and photographed by Bryant Hill has a fabulous rustic twist to its contemporary style. The color palette just sings to me; the layers of neutrals and sea-inspired blues and greens are so relaxing! Love all the textures inside and out, the great big windows and unique light fixtures, not to mention that incredible outdoor living area! I’d be out there ALL the time! Finish your tour of this home and see more designs by Glynis Wood here!

Wow, my hometown! As I scrolled down thinking this might be one of my fave posts, I was pleasantly surprised to see it's in ATX. I was immediately drawn to those wonderful light floors. And then, of course, to everything else about this lovely home. Thanks Erin.

wow..reminds me of homes on the west coast alot….i wonder if i could live like this, even if it was that BIG & pretty. Would i eventually get bored? I think if the city had more culture and it was like a 5-10 min drive i could try it..such a city gal i am.

Its a lifestyle of the rich and famous. Pretty living room with one exception, I would never have a tv in a formal living room, it ruins the looks. Pretty color choices all around. By the way the Capchon thing is horrible and difficult to use. When you type what it says it rejects it at least 4-5 times, really annoying

Lexie, I know! I hate that capchon thing too…no way around it right now. But I'm moving the blog to WordPress soon and won't have to have it anymore! Thanks for dealing with it and taking the time to comment though, I appreciate it!

I have to agree about the television – one design choice that I never, ever agree with is putting the TV over the fireplace. It always seems to high for real viewing. Would never do it.

"the layers of neutrals and sea-inspired blues and greens are so relaxing!" Exactly how I feel, Erin. So lovely, so relaxing, neutral backgrounds with soft color accents for beauty.
