Allison Elebash Interior Design

January 25, 2012

If these images take you away to somewhere warm and sunny, that’s because the designer, Allison Elebash, is based out of St. Kitts in the West Indies! She’s known for uncluttered, airy spaces with accents of fun color, all of which I’m loving in her portfolio! Isn’t that first image particularly stunning?? The blue background on the shelves really takes the display to a new level!

Most of these aren't my style, but I they have a lot of ideas I'd love to use! The display in the first image is incredible – especially with the blue background like you said. I really love the almost wood-grain backdrop behind the couch in the second outdoor image. It is really unique! What I love most, however, are the blue bed skirts in the room with the two beds. That's SUCH a good idea – I never thought of having them stand out like that, but it looks amazing, especially with the rug.

I love the airy feel of these rooms and am liking that she uses the blue as accent, rather than dominant, color – let's face it, the tropics are usually already saturated with blue/green/blue-green color – these accents do a great job of transitioning the indoors to outdoors (or vice versa) – so essential and natural in the tropics (she says, as she sits in her completely closed home, battened down against a freezing Illinois January 😀

I love turquoise as an accent color, really sparks up a house.

That display of corals with the turquoise background in the first picture is beautiful although it reminds me of the set in the opening of the Muppet Show.
