Oh how I wish I could spend a summer on the New England coast!! Located in the first Colonial settlement on Martha’s Vineyard, this sunny home photographed by Michael Partenio might appear to have been around for ages. But nope, this lovely is entirely new…except for a tiny part in the front. The architectural firm Brooks & Falotico (remember them from this home we all loved??) and Rosbeck Builders worked with interior designer Julia Doyle to keep the home historically authentic, but also comfortable and fun…this is a vacation home after all! I love the burst of color from unexpected places, like the kitchen counters and glass tile around the fireplace. And the window seat is just the cutest thing ever! Read all about this home and see more great images over at New England Home!
Oh, me too, Erin! I really need a vacation and New England would a perfect spot for it!
This house reminds of summer. Perfect colors!!!
Wishing you a Blessed Week, Erin!!!

Beautiful home – Martha's Vineyard – perfect windowseat – I think I could spend a forever there 🙂
I covet this entire house! I am so sad there won't be any more pictures to enjoy. Love your site by the way!
It looks wonderful. It's so much better when new properties are built to fit in with their surroundings and it's always worth the effort in the end. Right now, I live in a fairly small seaside town and a few years back, they built this hideous block of flats right on the seafront. They tower over everything else and they've really spoilt the surroundings. They'd've looked just find in a big city but not in a little seaside town.
And the irony is, most of them are owned by people who work in London during the week, so apart from weekends, they're just sitting there empty. But the
house valuation on top of them is insane and I can't imagine there are many in this town who can afford them.
I love it!!!Happy,chic and cool!!!
