Kathryn Chaplow

March 24, 2011

A ton of new snow was just dumped on Minnesota, but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about summer! I’d love to have a lake home just like this Lake Michigan cottage designed by Kathryn Chaplow. Actually I’d love to just have a home like this one, it really doesn’t even need to be by a lake! That serene bedroom is a slice of heaven! Love the aqua, the ceilings, the little nook…all so pretty. What about the porch…how fun is that red animal print?! And did you notice the blue and green fabric on the pillow on the sofa in the living room? It looks a lot like the fabric from yesterday’s nursery! We gotta figure out what that is, I love it! See more of Kathryn’s work right on over here!

I want to move in! I wish I knew what the color is on the tiles in that kitchen. I was going to paint mine white again but I really like the color she used. The color on the kitchen walls is very similar to mine.

    Good morning, Erin.

I like how simple and elegance this place is. The windows in the kitchen gives a feeling of being in a treehouse.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi, Erin! You always find the most beautiful things to show us! I've been trying to catch up with your "aqua, robin's egg blue, etc." posts (the nursery below is beautiful) since I was offline for a while. I just love the porch in this home (the red and aqua) and love the color of the house itself. What a great idea to have it that color. Keep the beautiful stuff coming! You are great! 🙂
    Best,
    Gloria

The picture of the kitchen with the glass subway tile is breathtaking! I have a silvery turquoise dining area and living room with an open kitchen that has some beige walls above white cabinets with silver hardware. I have been torn for MONTHS about how a turquoise blue subway tile look and now I know. I am in love. It will be a great way to tie my rooms together!

I love turquoise color and I absolutely love how you mixed different tones of blue in your house giving it a very serene feeling in every room of the house. If I were to have a dream house, this would be it.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
