Effervescent Bathroom

January 18, 2010

My favorite thing about this bathroom designed by Molly Frey is the Effervescent Chandelier from Anthropologie. Sadly, it’s not for sale anymore, but oh how I lusted over it! So neat to see it in a real room. And what a great bathroom too. Love that tile, and how the sinks are on opposite walls. So balanced and symmetric! And the pretty doors?? How fabulous would it be to open them up while drying your hair or doing your makeup. My bathroom always gets so hot!

Also, I just noticed you have my bedding (DwellStudio from Target) featured in your 'Favorite Stuff' at the right of your page. I just reposted about this bedding with irl photos of my bedroom. If you're interested, check it out.

Since Turquoise is the color of 2010…, I'll be spending some time here (for a blog post), searching for beachy and nautical Turquoise interiors and accessories. I'm amazed that you never run out of Turquoise interiors!

I just discovered your blog after writing an article on my blog about Pantone's color choice of the year: Turquoise!

It looks like a great website. Turquoise is such a fun color!

I would love to link in some photos occasionally on my blog if you don't mind. I will put the URL under each photo and a link to your website so it is all traced back to you and your posts of course.

    In any case. Great blog!

Hi- love this bathroom. The chandelier is still available at the Cincinnati, OH Anthropologie for $999.95. It's been there for years and I always love going to visit it but sadly with that price tag it will not be living at my house anytime soon.

My favorite color is turquoise also. For Christmas about 5 years ago my husband gave me a turquoise blue Christmas. I think I died and went to heaven. Everything was wrapped in T.B. wrapping paper. I had T.B. duct tape, bathroom, bracelet, perfume, treats, etc. Now I know all you girls are thinking this is so unlike a guy. Well, my guy is the best!

I thought you might be interested to know that I featured one of your photos on my blog which was picked up by the editor of PaperCrafts Magazine, a nationwide card crafting magazine! She featured it on her blog for a challenge for other card crafters! So fun! Anyways! I wanted to thank you for the daily inspiration you bring us. The chandelier is indeed breathtaking. I like Olivia's idea of trying replicate it with glass globe ornaments. Somebody wanna try that to inspire us? Hee hee.

I also really love the towel nook under the counter. Nothing like a stack of fluffy white towels.

So beautiful, it almost want to cry. I was planning on finally doing my bathroom remodel this year … until I was laid off last March. It may be another year before I can do it, but I want it to look like this! I absolutely LOVE the sinks and cabinets.

It would be so easy to copy that chandelier by hanging turquoise holiday ornaments over some fixture that you create to cover a hanging bulb from Ikea or Pier One or something of that nature.

I did something similar in that I hung 15 or so sea shore themed ornaments and some strings of crystals in coordinating colors on fish swivels so they could spin freely and lit from underneath with a halogen spot light. TONS of compliments.
