Mona Ross Berman

August 12, 2011

I think it was fate that I accidentally received two issues of the new House Beautiful this month. One to keep and one to plaster my drool all over, thanks to this exuberant ocean-side home designed by Mona Ross Berman and photographed by Jonny Valiant. I can safely say this is my newest dream home, so fresh and vibrant, filled with white and juicy pops of color and pattern. I. Love. It. All. It’s just so bright and sunny, so HAPPY. I love happy. I can imagine turning up the stereo and listening to a little “Sound of Sunshine” here. In fact, go play the song in another window and come back for another look at the photos. Your weekend has just started my friends! Enjoy it! 🙂

This has to be my favorite post yet. I couldn't find ONE thing in ANY room I didn't love. Any way to find out where some of the furniture is from? Like the red bed side pagoda table? And the open coffee table??? In love.

When I received my copy of House Beautiful, I wondered if you would post these. Aren't they happy?

    Have a great weekend Erin.

I LOVE ALL THESE COLORS!!! I want this house too! Jeez, these people are lucky.

Also, I saw The Help last night and there is a scene where one of the character's dining room is ALL turquoise. I thought of this blog immediately! You will die.

I'm so glad you featured Mona. I received my copy of House Beautiful on Monday and I’ve just left magazine on my desk open to Mona’s article. Her color choices are uplifting, happy and original. I can’t get enough. Thank you for featuring Erin happy Friday!

I love this room! With school starting, I haven't had time to read my new House Beautiful yet…but I am definitely making time to do it tonight!

BTW…your song choice was perfect! My 2 youngest (ages 2 & 4) are dancing around in circles while I re-read your post with the music playing!

I'm loving the bunk beds. With twin granddaughters, I'm always on the lookout for great bedroom ideas for twins. The storage bench on the end in great – it can grow with the girls – from toys to teenage clothes!

I was just looking at these in HB this morning. I completely agree: I like happy, too! Others can enjoy the neutral/grays/beiges; I like me some COLOR, baby! This home is joyful!

I love the wall paper in the bathroom. it's a little retro but still to today's standards. I love the pattern too.
