A little bit country and a little bit beach beach, with some red and turquoise thrown in for good measure. That’s the fabulous room designed by the two talented bloggers Cassity of Remodelaholic and Roeshel of DIY Showoff. They recently worked as a team to design this entire room around the flooring (both wood and rug) for an HGTV HOME Flooring by Shaw event. And what a fun event it must have been! Their vision began with the beautiful Ikat Panel rug by Shaw. They pulled out pops of blue and red from the rug and kept everything else as neutral as they could. They added texture through the furnishings, incorporated typography in several places and finally found objects like the rusted wrought iron fence and carved wooden horse to round out the space and make it feel like it grew over time. It really looks that way too…you’d never know it was all put together in just 8 hours! I adore the beautiful wall color they chose (Copen Blue by Sherwin Williams) and the red painted chandelier (Antique Red by Sherwin Williams). Both Cassity and Roeshel had great write-ups about their experience, with loads of photos and fun stories, so check out their blogs for lots more!
