Valerie Onor

August 2, 2010

I first learned of interior designer Valerie Onor in Schumacher’s blog where they featured her work in the Mansions and Millionaires showhouse which earned her the title of “Designer of the Year 2009”. I was immediately hooked, and went on to her website only to discover it filled with my favorite color. (Not just these gorgeous rooms, but her actual site too!) It’s obvious going through her portfolio that she loves color, and classic designs that combine beautiful fabrics, artwork and furnishings. All so elegant, but comfortable at the same time. Definitely head over to her site next for more fabulous images!

The muraling on the ceiling in that bedroom with the beautifully colored beams is so pretty. What a great idea for a little girl's room.

That foyer and stairway stole my breathe – and my heart! Gutsy, confident, and full of life.

All of these rooms show a deft hand that balances color, texture and pattern to create softly elegant rooms.

    Just lovely.

Wow. Not sure what else to say. The first two pictures are exquisite. They are the epitome of gracious living; the wallpaper and chandelier, while in some places might look dated, instead look divine, fresh and new. The bathroom is amazing-the small space, the mirrors and that ceiling. I think this designer has captured a rare element-she knows how to make a home look lovely, look gracious and yet, the accessories seem just perfect, not too many nor too few. Every accessory seems well chosen and beautiful. I would love to live in these rooms. Thank you for sharing them today.

Wowzas!! The painting above the blue couch is really pulling me in. I can see murals like these in my in-laws house…if only they agreed! Such a gorgeous post! Thanks for sharing.
