I’m so excited to share this delightful home belonging to New Hampshire-based designer Lisa Teague, and photographed so beautifully by none other than James Salomon. Lisa is known for her keen sense of color and custom wall finishes, which are clearly demonstrated in her amazing home! Her neighborhood of brick homes, known as Atlantic Heights, was architect-designed and built in 1917 for shipyard workers. (And is currently one of the best neighborhoods in the North East to buy a home, according to This Old House.) Her home boasts a view of the Picataqua River, and I thought it was cute that Lisa said she kept pretending it was a boat and outfitted it as such. She said that even though it’s only 700 sq ft, it functions beautifully. If you live around Portsmouth, you should be aware that Lisa teaches classes in color concepts and organic plasters and finishes. So cool! She also has a blog filled with inspiration and great photos! For more of her work, view her website here, and for more from James, head here!
I am overdue in writing you this message, but I really, really enjoy your blog. You do a great job. Thank you!

Wow, beautiful, inviting, and very tastefully decorated. And, the cushions…. just gorgeous. Especially the butterfly cushion… I want one of those! The artwork throughout is also very eye catching and soothing. Lovely find Erin!

I love this so much! It really shows that each room in a house can be different as long as something about them is connected.
I am really loving the kitchen. I'm not sure why – it doesn't look like most kitchens I'm drawn to. It looks so cozy, though!
That living room is so so so beautiful and the master bedroom looks like you could stay in there forever. I am loving that pale turquoise newel post – so different and fresh for a country home.

Good morning, Erin-
I love brick houses- it looks really beautiful!
You are right- her home is an attraction! I like also red walls- in another home, we had a few rooms with red walls.
All is created wonderful- I like the railings- all is looking comfy and inviting!
Enjoy your day, Lovely-

Oh come on – you´re killing me with these photos..! 😀 Love, love, love! 🙂
You find the BEST designers!! I love her style, I guess it helps that turquoise is one of my fave colors too.
My favorite detail is the turquoise banister. Love this!
Great post. Love all the pics. Does anyone know where that fabulous sunburst mirror of wood and pieced mirror came from? Love it!
What a fun beach house to stay in.
Hi Linda, the Butterfly pillow is Company C-
Alexdrine, the window piece is an antique from a dear friend–I love it too–thank you..
Sara, the green trellis is a Kravet I believe–sorry, long week and I can't put my hands on the sample–I'll let you know if I'm wrong…
Just Beachy, the goldfish pillow can be found at Summer Home Furnishings in NH…
Gramercy Home, I agree, the sunburst mirror is one of my favorites–are you ready? Homegoods, $40.00…
The hen painting is by one of my favorite artists Laurel Hughes, and the paint colors are all from my own collection. They are available through the studio.
Thanks so much to all of you…
the combination of that art deco-esque circular mirror with those patterned pillows on the bed? fabulous.
Beautiful! Can you tell me the names of the paint colors- so fresh and relaxing!
I love the subtly of that stair post. Amazing!
