HGTV Dream Home 2010

January 8, 2010

The HGTV Dream Home 2010 really is a total dream! I LOVE the custom turquoise ceramic tile in the entry hall, with the oversized turquoise wing chairs. So cozy! Then the real stunner…the 16 feet of turquoise tile in the kitchen. All of the tile was beautifully crafted by artist Erin Adams and her husband Michael Corney, a renowned ceramic artist out of New Mexico. Head over to HGTV to see lots more photos and virtual tours, and for your chance to win the home! If I win, I’ll throw a giant housewarming party and you’re all invited! What fun with that be?!

What a gorgeous house! I'm surprised that I haven't seen you mention on here that Pantone named Turquoise their color of the year:

I recently stumbled on a website dated 12/11/09 entitled "Dream Turns Nightmare". The article states that the builder of this home has brought about a lawsuit and $310,000 lien on this home because the builder has not been completely paid by the developer. The article goes on to say that the residents of Tijeras have risen up against the developer fearing the drilling of 4000-ft wells would impact their own water. It further states that few lots have been sold in last 2 yrs. and developer looking for new investors. Sounds like it's going to take more than the color of turquois to sell this place if winner decides to sell–that is if he can even get his hands on it until this legal matter is cleared up.
