The Magic Brush

May 26, 2010

One of my favorite places to visit in the blogosphere is The Magic Brush, Inc. where the incredibly talented (and always hilarious) Jennifer showcases her gift for faux finishing. She’s a true genius with a paint brush. Case in point: this gorgeous turquoise island. Both Jennifer and Kierra (the owner) say it’s even more beautiful in person. Seriously?! I am really digging that wallcolor too, I’m obsessed with reddish orange right now. Like me, Jennifer loves turquoise and uses it for a lot of projects…her studio is even painted one of my favorite colors, Waterfall by Benjamin Moore. To see more of this island, and all of her other amazing projects, head here!

Just goes to show ya that turquoise makes every project better. I'm with you on the reddish orange obsession – Persimmon. A wonderful color to pair with turq. Still trying to decide what to paint my front door – and persimmon just migt be it.

I absolutely LOVE this island. I am moving to Phoenix and I am decorating a VERY small space (400-500 SF) in turquoise, robin's egg and other similar shades. I love the sort of patina on this island. It gives me ideas for creating a nice centerpiece or a dresser.

I love that island, but could do without the granite, too cold and modern.
