I am in love this DIY headboard belonging to Rebecca Domin and Chris Musina of Toronto. Their home was declared a winner with “Best Use of Colour” in Canadian House and Home’s 2010 design contest. The turquoise sure does stand out against the rest of the minimalist decor! Isn’t that Designers Guild fabric is so yummy?!
I am so in love with this headboard.
That fabric is to die for!
* beeeeautiful ! *
This bedrooms is so well put together! I love the bold headboard paired with the gray faux bois pillows, floating end tables, and those chrome lamps!
Love it! My daughter has a vintage chair I had reupholstered in that fabric in the peony color, my favorite piece in her room.
Love this headboard! This is giving me confidence to try one myself!
Yes, would love to try and make a headboard. Love this fabric too!

that fabric is delicious!
It's gorgeous. I tackle many projects myself, but I've been sitting on the fence about doing my own headboard for a guest bedroom. Have you tried making one?
Hamptontoes, not yet. But it's been on my list of things to try one day! I just love the look!
I agree. I love Designer's Guild. Did you know that in their London Kings Road store at sale time, one of the rooms is entirely filled with cushions in all these gorgeous fabrics (and I mean entirely – you basically have to swim through them!) Brilliant!
Great fabric and great use of it – perfect!
centsational girl has a tutorial on her blog! It doesn't look too hard either. Her's has nailhead trim.
What a beautiful image!!! everything is so pretty 😉
Love the nightstands too!
You'd think that they would paint the walls and have colored accessories everywhere because of the contest! But, it looks awesome against the white walls!

Wonderful bedroom inspiration!
Upholstered headboards are one of the best DIY projects. Not too much work for sooo much reward!
I remember the first time I made one, though. I used staples that were too long and ended up stapling the whole thing to my old hardwood floor! Fortunately, it's an old floor so the tiny holes aren't noticeable.
I like to to think it added some character.
Yummy indeed! I need something similar…the search continues!
fabric covered headboards are the best and this one is chic w/out being too much. great example.
Anyone know where I can find that fabric? I'm obsessed.
